Madhya Pradesh

In 1956, the states of Madhya Bharat, Vindhya Pradesh, and Bhopal were merged into Madhya Pradesh, and the Marathi-speaking southern region Vidarbha, which included Nagpur , was cede to Bombay state. After then Bhopal became the new capital of Madhya Pradesh. Madhya Pradesh remained as the largest state of the India (Area) from 1956 to 2000.
This is the second largest state in terms of area and is thickly covered by forests which account for one third of the state’s geographical area. The state is filled with all types of hills, plains, Temples, rivers, forests and many more. In 2000, Madhya Pradesh divided in a two part Madhya Pradesh and Chattisgarh.
Madhya Pradesh is a heart of India. Madhya Pradesh distinct culture having different languages in all the cities in Madhya Pradesh. Madhya Pradesh capital is Bhopal and Bhopal divided in a two part Old Bhopal and New Bhopal. Other important cities include, satna , Rewa , Maihar , Gwalior , Orchha , Khajuraho , Omkareshwar , Chitrakoot , Mandu , Jabalpur , Sanchi , Kanha, Datia, Ujjain, Panchmarhi and Amarkantak .
